Paul, you have no idea in what info is needed to figure the "Optimal " prop. There's a bunch of info a prop shop will ask. Boat year, Boat model, Boat weight on average, out drive brand, outdrive gear ratio, Model, Engine size, Engine HP, Elevation that you typically run the boat, and the list is about 50 questions. Just this simple question cannot be answered by anyone here on this forum with any accuracy. The prop that came on the boat is the best "Overall " prop for a wide variety of conditions and loads. Is it the best, No. Can it be better, yes. But at what price are you willing to pay? Or what are you willing to give up? You'll be sacrificing something to get something. What are you looking for? Hotter launch? Higher top speed? Fuel economy? What? You won't get all of them in a single prop. You'll increase one at the sacrifice of another. It's Physics. |
