Today I finally got my 4hp Johnson Sea Horse STARTED. But whenever it starts it dies fairly quickly... I don't really have an idea what is wrong although my grandpa said it is probably the carberator...Ideas anyone???

I have a 1993 90hp elpto on a duracraft. It is beeping. Is it getting too hot? It seemed that when I put the trim all the way down, it would beep. If I raised it, it would stop. Does that mean I'm low on oil?

Okay, so I have a 9 foot inflatable boat. I have had trolling motors for several years and they have worked great. But now I don't like something a little bit more powerful. I've looked at outboards in the past and haven't found anything really good. But now my price range is higher. I'm probably looking at a used one, What would be the best 5 hp outboard, from about the last 10 years. No more than $1000. Probably more like 700. I know Honda and Yamaha are pretty reliable but where can I find a good one for that price?
My 175hp mercury outboard wont start?
so the past few weeks i have been cranking it on every week just to get it fired and keep it running good. havent done that in the past 2 weeks and today i was planing on taking the boat out. trying to start it and it wouldnt. i had it started for a sec and it died right away so i thought ok its cold it needed to be cranked over again... after that it wouldnt ketch. it would just spin and spin and not ketch. the spark plugs are getting spark theres fuel it wont start on starter fluid either and the compression is between 112 120 in all cyl.... any clue what could be wrong.. again it is a 1995 2 stroke 175hp mercury outboard. thanks guys..
