What do i need to do to winterize my marine power inboard engine?
How do i remove the drive lube hose on mercruiser inboard?
I have a 2004 searay sundeck with a mercury mercruiser inboard. The drive lube hose outside the transom to the prop is leaking. The end closest to the prop is dang near impossible to get to. I think if I pull it hard enough and it doesn't tear i'll never get a new one back in. Does anybody know how to access this hose better? Thanks

How do i clean the inboard fuel tank on my boat?
It's a 1980 mako center console. i've had the boat for 15 years and i have never cleande the fuel tank. i think it needs to be cleaned because because when im running on full throttle all of a sudden it looses power and when i connect an external tank it runs without any problems Also what should i do with the old gasoline that i take out of the tank???

I want a boat that I can be able to pull tubes as well as hold up my fam above water. I dont need a fast boat but i want one powerful enough to get from one end of the lake to the other. My inboard out board 205 merc cruiser won't go in forward, but will go in reverse?
My boat didn't hit anything, but upon acceleration from a stop the motor raced, and smoke came from the engine compartment, however, the boat wouldn't go into forward. It would, however, go in reverse. What could be the problem? Is this a fix a novice could accomplish?Was wondering if it was saver hub, but since I didn't hit anything and it wouldn't allow me any forward motion at all. It happened all of a sudden as I increased speed from a " no wake zone" to a plane level. It had been running well all day. This is a 1999 merc. I was able to go in reverse however.

I just bought a used 19 ft doral boat with an inboard Merc motor. After we took the boat out for a few rides, we pulled the plug out the end of the boat and it drained a ton of water. Now each time we take the boat out, we remove the plug and get about a bucket full of water...is this normal or do I have a leak somewhere in my hull...from looking at it I dont see one but I am not sure if I should have water like that

Inboard/Outboard 1989 Maxum 4 cylinder 3.0 Liter Mercruiser Engine trouble.?
So this boat has always been stored in the winters, and has really had low hours of use, bought brand new in 89 and used only about 2 weeks a year. It has been running rough the past few summers, and recently when it gets hot it won't start back up again, and stalls out at an idle. Once it cools down after 30 45 minutes, it starts again. When it IS running, it runs like a champ, strong and fast. So, just a few weeks ago we replaced the PLUGS, WIRES, CAP, ROTOR, COIL, CONDENSER, POINTS, OIL CHANGE, and the FUEL FILTERS in the carb and fuel pump. It still has the idle and hot start problems. What could be wrong with this thing?
