Interesting question. Most of us have a procedure that we go through when starting engines. Like pump the throttle 2 times, hit the choke, crank for 30 seconds then repeat. What we fail to think about is that is needed for a cold engine.........not for a warmed up engine. next time try idle throttle, no choke and crank just a bit longer. If that doesn't help, do a link-n-sync, then rebuild carbs. It could be electrical but i'd put that further down the list.

Don't cut the engine.

Sounds like a electrical problem overheating power pack or coils.Have them checked out.

Check for spark after you shut it down. if you have good spark, then it's probably flooding due to worn/ misadjusted carb float valves. rebuild the carb(s), with new kit(s).
