I own a ten foot john boat , i would like to know what i reguire to be legal , i only wish to use a trolling motor 35 Pounds of thrust , to drive it , any help is plenty help , I live in Texas

In Ontario any boat under 10 hp needs no registration . 35 lbs thrust is less than 3 hp.

Yes, all motorized boats in tx need to be registered Texas Registration Requirements The following vessels when on Texas public water are required to have current registration, including when docked, moored, or stored. •All motorized boats, regardless of length; •All sailboats 14 feet in length or longer or any sailboat with an auxiliary engine(s); and •USCG Documented vessels (New — see section below). Exempted vessels — All (non-motorized) canoes, kayaks, punts, rowboats, or rubber rafts (regardless of length) when paddled, poled, or oared and sailboats under 14 feet in length when windblown. tpwd.state.tx.us/ fishboat/ boat/ owner/ titles_and_registration/ hope this helps
