Did it ever plane out since U have owned it? If the engine run good and revs up If so .Id the bottom clean as any fowl will cause the boat to not plane out.If all is good Than U have the wrong pitch on the prop go lower like from 17 to a 15. Moving weight forward is fine but then what do U do with all the weight forward and U let off the throttle the bow comes down and a wavy comes over it swamping U. |

Simple answer is to move more weight to the front of the boat. Try having people sit up there instead of the back or move some gear to the bow. If it wont plane with a light load or with just you in it, you may want to try adding a hydrofoil. A model from someone like Stingray (marine-dynamics.com/ sjr.html) should help level the boat out. |

Have you got a clean hull? If u can give it a good polish with turtle wax or something your boat should fly, I know this sounds daft but have you got the correct prop on? With the correct pitch? And is your outboard long shaft or short shaft ? |

Are you sure the motor is giving you all she's got? check the compression. is the antiventilation plate even with the keel when the motor is in neutral trim? can you raise it one hole without losing water pressure or blowing out in turns? if the max hp rating is 65 or more, the boat is just underpowered. A hydrofoil might help. |

Well that should be enough hp to plane. what i did with my tinny is fitted a water bag in the bow under the seat for extra weight up the front, this will make it more sea worthy too. you can fit trim tabs to the hull witch work very well, or fit hydrofoils to the cavitation plate on the motor, this must be fitted correctly with no bolts protruding or it will cause cavitation of the propellor, some times these make the problem worse . i think trim tabs would be the best for a fiberglass boat |
