Is a 45 gallon gas tank compartment(on a boat) suppost to fill up with water when the bilge does?
i keep getting water in my fuel, i pulled the tank and filled the bilge and noticed water coming into the tank compartment? so i guess the tank becomes submerged in water and it gets in threw a hose or fuel gaugeif not, will fibreglass patch kitty hair work to repair the crack or hole in the wall of the bilge?the hole in the bilge wall going to the tank compartment is suppost to be there as there is a channel at the bottom for water and a hole at the front of the compartment for water to get to the bilge.

one of my bilge pumps keeps blowing fuses when the switch is in the automatic mode. the on mode its doesn blow the fuse but doesn't work either. How can I determine if the fault is in the switch, ground or positive leads?

I am looking to get a cruising yacht about 40 to 45 footand I was thinking about a ketch with a bilge keel.Must be setup for short handed sailing but I seem to get conflicting information, some people describe boats with a bilge keel other twin keel and it is the same boat HELP what is the best and have I done the right thing going for a steel ketch.Some one with practical experiance let me know what you think
